@SuddenCatharsis My grand children’s, grand children will still be using it! We know where there is ample supply. The government is in the way with regulation and restriction. The make parks and protected land out of as much of our resources as they can!

@john51880 Oil is a finite resource. The world consumes 85 million barrels a day. Saudi Arabia’s biggest field, the Ghawar, is running out. The world will go in irreversible decline soon, the IEA even admits it now.

@john51880 Perhaps you don’t understand yet, but all the cheap easy oil has been found. We are at or near Peak Oil. As the supply of oil dwindles and the global demand increases exponentially, there will be huge problems in the future as our entire economy is dependent on cheap energy from fossil fuels. Obama is right, we need a transition or face catastrophe.

Obama thinks they drill in deep water far off shore just to find oil. That is bull crap! They do it because of restrictions that force them out into deep water far of shore! The government gives in to environmental nuts and people who say not in my back yard. The government is the problem!

Why worry about clean energy when we’re all being polluted with Monsanto’s genetically morphed seeds, anyway?! Some day we will run out of oil, and we will have no choice but alternative energy. But once Monsanto’s fake DNA is out there, we cannot call it back. We eat it every day, and it affects our health and the health of our children.

If no ones goes to jail for this disaster it wouldn’t surprise me. BP doesn’t want want to stop the flow of oil they want to capture & refine it using its profits to pay for the clean up that’s why they started digging relief wells(that will be finished Aug/Sept) immediatley after the blast and all of the other media hyped stop gap measures have been for PR ie top kill, and most likely will not work giving BP more time to complete the relief wells. Profits over Prophets.

You can stop this leak in a few days from now. The water pressure at that depth is so great you need a low yield tactical nuke to shut it down. Its safer than this mess you have now. Instead this will go on and on untill we get a leader in the Whitehouse instead of this scared little child we have now. They will not stop this leak unless they do this.

What an asshole. He uses a tragedy to push his liberal agenda. He should be trying to get the Army Corps of Engineers in there to plug the damn hole, but instead he wants it to leak so he could promote his own agenda.

This isnt Obamas fault its the fault of bush and all his rich republican friends. The tools to plug a leak like this one should have been in place when bush was president but bush didnt do it and Obama was busy with 2 wars and a ruined economy when he took office. We should put bush on trial for this spill and all his rich oil friends too.
