Don’t call people stupid when you possess a dimmer intelligence, methane may be a greenhouse gas but methane hydrate has been trapped in lattices.
Burning it won’t release methane, it is BURNED therefore the byproducts are still carbon dioxide and water.
It CAN power the planet and it’s burning produces less monoxide and NO sulphur oxides compared to crude oil, making it burn cleaner.
Go to wiki, type in methane hydrate and READ.

INdeed. You wont have to worry about “Climate Change” in space. A HUGE bridge for space exploration….but if we were to use it on this planet…..we’re done for.

Won’t work. How much worse isn’t gas hydrate? Oh my, oh my.
I agree on the potential of this type of energy for space energy sources.

Indeed. People dont realize Methane will basically heat the planet up MUCH faster than carbon dioxide.
I believe though, Methane Hydrates could possibly become a GREAT “Space” energy source for us to transport and actually visit planets though.
