For more information: www.hopeforachange.net This documentary about how people and communities using Renewable Energy provides hope that we will achieve a sustainable future. This hope is a natural result of the ability of renewable energy to replace non-renewables like fossil fuels and nuclear energy. Hope for a Change sets the stage for a world where political and social autonomy is possible, energy crises are history, climate change is halted, and oil/nuclear war is averted. See how it's possible to live an ethical existence today while providing hope for a better future for our children. Featured in this timely documentary are award-winning scientist and world-renowned environmentalist Dr. David Suzuki, author of the Geography of Hope, which is on the "Globe 100" list of the best books of the year — Chris Turner, and Right Livelihood award-winner Dr. Hermann Scheer, the architect of the German Renewable Energy Act.

Excellent video on renewable energy. In order to combat the challenges posed by climate change, places across the globe are investing in renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydropower, and geothermal power among others. According to a report, The US could net 4.5 million new jobs in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors by 2030. Transformer company, Pacific Crest Transformers has articles related to the renewable erngy sector.

This time I did not uploaded it. I just put it into my channel into. I plan on visiting Dr. Hermann Scheer when he visits Amsterdam on February 23 2009. I watched this video a couple of times because of the inspiration I get from it. The Netherlands are doing absolutely nothing to stimulate renewable energy. It’s been made so burocratingly (Is that a word?) difficult that people that are trying to use pv on their homes just give it up…

Amazing video Bogt, thanks a lot for uploading.

Very powerful trailer! I just love the way these people are thinking and we as the people have to wake up and see that we can power ourselves when the climate for that is created.

This is the next revolution. The oil and energy companies that won’t profit from these independent home power plants will lobby and do everything they can to stop people from empowering themselves. I have been screaming for years, “just do it yourself!”
Imagine small towns where every house fitted with solar and wind and completely independent of fossil fuels.. Check out “solar village”
