There Is No Energy Crisis, There is a Crisis of Ignorance

Visit www.geni.org for more information. A sustainable global energy strategy, first proposed by Buckminster Fuller in 1969, to interconnect the abundant renewable energy resources between nations around the world. Benefits include reducing pollution and climate change, reducing poverty and hunger, and increasing trade, cooperation and peace.

  2. Mandatory vasectomies, and if necessary, castrations! I have demanded this for 30 years! In spite of all the horrors and evils the Chinese nationalist extremists do, the one good thing about the Chinese is their one-child policy. We need to export that idea to India, the USA – everyone who overconsumes or over reproduces. So everyone except the Scandinavian countries & Japan.
(Although Japan must be forced to acknowledge the holocaust they created 1931-1945 in China.)

  4. @walter0bz Do you agree or disagree with the statement I made earlier, that being, “The most fundamental, useful, profitable and encouraging question of all time: What is The underlying law of nature.”?

  5. electricity grids lose power across distance..
the future is Localized energy production, not globally linked as suggested here

  6. @TedDGPoulos -
underlying law of nature: entropy always increases.
any order/complexity is always offset by a greater increase in disorder elsewhere.
thats why life is doomed to always experience an uphill struggle – all complexity is fundementally UN-natural.

the economic model is breaking down due to energy,
if we had adequate energy the continual exponential debt expansion would continue working

  10. Great video…I converted my home to a net-zero solar powered home that uses no oil or gas…I made a video about it called, “Preparing for Peak Oil”….

  11. i think there is plenty of alternative aside from oil the main problem is government has poor full implementation to such an idea

  12. CO2 is a greenhouse gas. I don’t know if that classifies as a pollutant, but it certainly changes the infrared radiation absorbing properties of the atmosphere.

  13. BS
each country will use its oil reserves for optimum prosperity of its own inhabitants, (obviously different countries have different levels of wealth disparity between elite & proles, pending their social systems)

diamonds are a luxury item. but oil can be used to amplify the number of humans, beyond what the land can naturally sustain.. and it IS finite, so this is incredibly foolish.

when you extract a liquid from an object and burn it, it is gone, just like coal.
    biofuel needs huge land

  14. @walter0bz

Well Walter, have you seen the brutish tactics used in the diamond business? Diamonds are not nearly as finite as their market value would suggest, it’s simply a matter of controlling the supply of the resource so you can control the price. When you have cartels like OPEC and Dutch Royal Shell holding all the reserves, of course they will lie to you and say it’s limited supply.

  16. The only way to help ourselves is to sterilize ourselves and STOP having off spring!! If we had come to this conclusion 100 years ago we may have stopped some of the large scale suffering the end of cheap energy will bring! But we are way to arrogant as a race!

  17. Oil is no longer abundant but coal is and using modern power station technologies, no pollutants (other than CO2 which is NOT a pollutant) should go into the atmosphere.

  18. renewables are useless.
WIND = sailing ships & windmills
SOLAR = irrigation (wherever you have water, solar can be harnessed to make food) .. or harvesting seaweed..

Basically renewables = using sailing ships to catch fish.
the end of oil is the end of high tech living, and the end of current population levels

  19. RUBBISH!

Sure there’s too much power/heirachy in the world,

but if oil was indeed more abundant, the Elite that control it wouldn’t be fussed with Money! – they’d just use the energy to produce more babies & higher quality of life for themselves …. they just wouldn’t be bothered with us.

Everyone knows it is FINITE and SCARCE, which is why we fight over dominating it.
If it wasn’t oil it would be farm-land, freshwater etc.. there’s always a limiting factor that humans have maxed out.

  24. Oil is a remarkably abundant resource that, like diamonds, has been put into an artificial scarcity model to justify charging high prices for what really ought to be a free resource. The planet oozes with petroleum, not being entirely made of it but simply replenishing underground pockets of it whenever they are sucked up. Just like the carbon cycle, the petroleum production cycle is ongoing.

  25. @De4sher

“I am also arguing that there are no other sources of energy as cheap and as efficient as oil, not in the name of profit nor of anything.” This is a completely false statement. Google “Nikola Tesla – Wardenclyffe” , “Who Killed the Electric Car (doc)”, and “Magnetic Motor”. We are being kept in the dark.
